Rooted in the street dance culture of circle dancing and cyphers, our jam sessions offer a validating, euphoric space that flattens social hierarchies and  invigorates groups to move collectively on a physical and emotional level. Freestyle activities are led by a rotating roster of experienced street dancers trained in Palette Session’s unique approach to movement exchange.

Palette Session’s jams are a vital community space in Sydney’s street dance scene. Having delivered jams for over 1138 dancers—spanning hip hop, breaking, vogue femme, house, Bodyweather, Pangalay, contemporary dance, parkour, and somatic practices— our jams continues to reimagine the cypher as a place of mutual curiosity and respect for the artforms we practice. A place where people can see into each other’s hearts without words.
