OUR METHODOLOGY

Founded and run by street dancers, Palette Session’s ethos is rooted in street dance culture. We incorporate cyphers, jam sessions and dance battles to create spaces for experimentation and movement exchange.

Our community events are open to dancers of all styles and levels. We run improvised freestyle exercises involving turn-taking, contact improvisation, movement direction and peer-to-peer feedback to break down walls between dancers of different cultural backgrounds and artforms.

We strive to help dancers discover the unique colour of their movement so we can foster a globally recognised experimental dance community in Australia.
